Rounds one and two of the 2024 Yamaha New Zealand Cross-country Championships were run back-to-back on hilly farmland at St Arnaud, near Nelson. Each round had a three-hour senior race and a 90-minute junior race.
There were four different winners across the four races. Defending senior champion Wil Yeoman (Taupō, Yamaha) won the opener ahead of Rotorua's Callum Dudson and Eketahuna's Luke Brown. Owaka's Blake Affleck (Honda) won the first junior race.
The series moved north for rounds three and four over Easter: Central Hawke's Bay on 30 March and Tinui, near Masterton, on Easter Monday.
