Heavy rain over the weekend forced organisers of the 63rd Honda New Zealand Motocross Grand Prix at Woodville to cancel the senior classes early on Sunday morning.
MNZ noted that the event was also cancelled for flooding in 2023 and for the pandemic in 2022. The mini motocross riders, aged 4 to 11, did complete two races on Saturday in very muddy conditions.
The Manawatu-Orion Motorcycle Club later rescheduled the Grand Prix at Himatangi in June.
